Dr. Nikolaeva was born in Moscow.
Her love for the veterinary medicine must have been innate, though her decision to become an animal doctor came as a complete surprise to her family and friends. Nobody paid attention to her first attempts to study morphology of frogs when she was two years old. When she was a pupil of the 9th form, it became clear that, though she was a very good pupil of a school with in-depth study of English, no alternative professions would be considered, and her mother resorted to an extreme measure - she took her daughter to the Moscow Veterinary Academy on the Open Day in a hope that a visit to the dissecting room would bring her to her senses. Alas! Luba was so delighted by the visit to this institution that she filed her application to two higher educational institutions at the same time - the Veterinary Faculty of RUDN university and the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin. Love for animals and dedication to the profession provide a good support on the challenging path of a veterinary doctor…
