Andres is the director of the Los Sauces Veterinary Center in Madrid. He graduated with honors from the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Madrid Complutense in 1992. He has a Master of Science degree in veterinary therapeutic research and a PhD in veterinary medicine. He has been a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) since 1991, the Association of Veterinarians of Reptiles and Amphibians (ARAV) of the Association of Veterinarians of Exotic Mammals (AEMV) and the European-American Association of Veterinarians of Wild and Zoo Animals (EAZWV). Andres is accredited by the Spanish National Veterinary Association AVEPA in the field of medicine of exotic animals. He was president of EAAV (European Association of Veterinarian Birds) in 2011-2013. He is also an active member of GMCAE, the Group on Medicine and Surgery of Exotic Animals (AVEPA) and a member of the scientific committee of the group and several journals. I am responsible of teaching equine and small animal dermatology at the Veterinary Faculty of University of Agriculture, Uppsala, Sweden since 1999. Michele Borgarelli is Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, graduate of the Veterinary School of Torino in 1989. Dr. Craig Clifford DVM, dip.ACVIM oncology, is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received an MS degree in Animal Science/Virology from the University of Delaware.

After completing an internship and a medical oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2003.

He is a medical oncologist, Director of Clinical Studies and co-owner of Hope Veterinary Specialists in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

He is active in clinical research within a referral setting and serves as an advisory board member with both industry and non-profit foundations.

He is a renowned oncologist who has authored/co-authored over 60 papers and book chapters.

Ronald Jan Corbee

Ronald Jan Corbee received his DVM degree from Utrecht University in December 2003. After several temporal positions in first line companion animal practice he was employed by Dierenkliniek 't Ossehoofd in Heerhugowaard, where he worked for 2 years as a veterinarian for companion animals. In December 2006 he opened his private practice, which he sold in 2016. He passed the board certifying exam in Veterinary Nutrition (Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition) in Zaragoza (Spain) in September 2011. He successfully defended his PhD (Nutrition and the skeletal health of dogs and cats) on the 28th of August 2014. In March 2013 he was awarded the University Teaching Qualification. At the moment he is employed as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University.

Federico Fracassi graduated in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) “cum laude” State University of Bologna. At the same Faculty he followed an internship. In 2005 he defended his PhD thesis. After the PhD he become a permanent staff member at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences - University of Bologna (Italy) where at present is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and head of the unit of Internal Medicine. He completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at the Clinic for Small Animal Internal Medicine, University of Zurich, Switzerland and gained his status of European Specialist in Internal Medicine in 2012 (Diplomate ECVIM-CA-internal medicine). Duties include patient care, education (to students, post graduate training and training of interns and residents) and research in internal medicine of companion animals, with special emphasis on endocrinology. He is the president of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinology (ESVE), past-president of the Italian Society of Veterinary Internal Medicine (SIMIV), board member of the executive committee of the ECVIM-CA congress and editor of “Veterinaria”, a peer review journal. Nowadays, she is a staff member of the Department of Clinical Sciences of Companion Animals, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht and holds a position of assistant professor in Internal medicine.

She leads an Adrenal research group at Utrecht University.

Maria graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of the Complutense University of Madrid. Maria is accredited by the Spanish National Veterinary Association AVEPA, as an expert in the field of medicine of exotic animals. While studying at the university, she was an active member and president of the student association for the care of exotic and wild animals (AVAFES-Madrid). After completing her studies, she worked as a veterinarian at the O'Campiño Center attending fauna affected by the Prestige oil spill. After completing this work, she joined the veterinary team of the Veterinary Center Los Sauces in July 2003.
She is an active member of the AAV (Association of avian veterinarians), AEMV (Association of Exotic Mammals Veterinarians) and GMCAE-AVEPA, a group of medicine and surgery of exotic animals. He is currently a member of the scientific committee of GMCAE-AVEPA. Dr. Sonya G. Gordon

Dr. Gordon is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Texas A&M University.

She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1994 and earned her DVSc in Veterinary Cardiology from the same university in 1998.

Dr. Grozdanic was an assistant professor and staff ophthalmologist with the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at ISU (2007-2011).

Dr. Grozdanic published 27 manuscripts and one book chapter in the field of glaucoma, neuroprotection, autoimmune retinal disease, ocular imaging and stem cell therapy for blinding ocular diseases.

He also gave more than 50 national and international presentations on advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities for different eye diseases.

Dr. Grozdanic also has the distinguished honor of being the first veterinary ophthalmologist in North America to perform artificial corneal transplants in a veterinary patient and he has developed numerous novel diagnostic and treatment routines for different canine, feline and equine ocular diseases.

He is actively consulting for US Department of Defense and Secret Service canine units, and he also provided free consulting to more than 80 veterinary ophthalmologists from 6 different continents on more than 300 complex veterinary ophthalmology clinical cases.

Dr. DJ Haeussler grew up in the Cincinnati area as the son of Dr. David Haeussler, a small animal general practitioner. 

Dr. Haeussler always wanted to be a veterinarian as he always heard the stories his father would tell when he got home from work. He finished his undergraduate work at The Ohio State University and then received his doctorate in 2006. He then went to New Jersey where he finished two internships at Garden State Veterinary Specialists and then returned to his alma mater, The Ohio State University to complete his residency. While at The Ohio State University for his residency, he completed a Master of Science degree and earned the top award for professional student research at Ohio State as well as the top resident award for professional research at the annual American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) in 2010. 

Dr. DJ Haeussler has been published in Veterinary Ophthalmology as well as Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. His publications have been referenced in the gold standard textbook, Veterinary Ophthalmology. Dr. DJ Haeussler has also published a photographic atlas to help better help veterinarians and veterinary technicians identify ophthalmic disease in dogs and is entitled Recognition of Canine Ocular Disease: A Photo Atlas, Volume 1. Dr. Haeussler has also served as a part-time ophthalmology consultant and clinician at Garden State Veterinary Specialists, in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Sarah Heath

BVSc Dip.ECAWBM(BM) CCAB FRCVS

Sarah qualified from Bristol University and spent four years in mixed general practice before setting up Behavioural Referrals Veterinary Practice in 1992. 

In 2018 she was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for meritorious contributions to the profession in recognition of her work in establishing Behavioural Medicine as a veterinary discipline. She is an RCVS and European Veterinary Specialist in Behavioural Medicine. Sarah is an External Lecturer in small animal behavioural medicine on the veterinary undergraduate courses at Liverpool University and the University of Surrey. She is a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist under the ASAB accreditation scheme and registered as a Veterinary Behaviourist with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council. She sees clinical cases across North West England. 

In 2002 Sarah became a Founding Diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine (formerly the ECVBM-CA) and served as President from 2002 to 2008. She served as Treasurer of the College from 2011 to 2017 and is currently the chair of the Behavioural Medicine Credentialing Committee. Sarah has a special interest in the interplay between emotional and physical illness in dogs and cats and particularly in the role of pain. She promotes the recognition of emotional health issues in companion animals and the role of the veterinary profession in safeguarding the welfare of animals in this context. Sarah lectures extensively, at home and abroad, on behavioural medicine and is an author, co-author and editor of several books including Behavioural Medicine for Small Animals and Feline Behavioural Health and Welfare, both published by Elsevier.

Dr Levy started his specialisation by an intership in dog and cat internal medicine and surgery in Alfort Vetschool in 2003. Then, he did his residency in reproduction and in parallel be involved as a clinician in urology-nephrology in the medicine department of Alfort vetschool until 2007.

In 2006, he became the head of CERCA (Center of Research and Clinics in Small Animal Reproduction, ENVA). In 2007, he became ECAR diplomate.

He was in the Board of European Society for Small Animal Reproduction (EVSSAR) from 2010 to 2016.

Dr Levy is Past-president of the French Veterinary Society of Small Animal Reproduction, Breeding and Genetics from 2012 to 2018 (GERES, AFVAC). He is member of the Reproduction Council of the French Kennel Club.

Since 2004, Dr Levy is involved in a breeding program in wildlife for cheetah in South Africa started by the CRESAM society. He contributed actively to develop the first technique of non-invasive intra uterine insemination for wild felids: cheetah, leopard, tigers and lions. Since 2011, he became co-head of the scientific committee of CRESAM society.

Dr Levy is also involed in clinical researchs as schedule C-section, prostatits diagnosis, BPH blood markers (ODELIS CPSE® test), pediatric surgery and breeding soudness.

In 2008, he co-developped the first private center dedicate to reproduction and pediatrics in dogs and cats in South of France (CRECS). Dr. Leo Londoño graduated from University of Florida, college of veterinary medicine in 2011, then pursued a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in 2012.

Then, he completed his residency in emergency and critical care at University of Florida in 2015 and received his board certification from the American College of Emergency and Critical Care in 2016.

Since July 2015 Dr. Londono has been a clinical assistant professor of emergency and critical care and director of the hemodialysis unit at the University of Florida.

He received his certification in hemodialysis and extracorporeal blood purification techniques from UC Davis in 2018.

Dr. Londoño's research interests include renal and non-renal applications of extracorporeal blood purification techniques, endothelial and glycocalyx pathophysiology in the critically ill, and hospital acquired acute kidney injury (AKI).

He was born and raised in Colombia, and lectures internationally with a major focus in Latin-American countries where he brings his knowledge on critical care nephrology and has helped to set-up veterinary dialysis centers.

Ellen Martens received her master’s degree in physical therapy in Belgium in 2002. She worked with human patients for seven years while she trained in manual therapy, animal physiotherapy (the Netherlands) and animal osteopathy. Ellen worked with humans and animals until she founded Het Waterhof Rehabilitation Center in 2009. Since then she has worked full-time with animals.

Ellen is the founder and president of the Belgian Association for Certified Animal Physical Therapy and has been the physical therapist for the Belgian agility team since 2008.

She teaches canine rehabilitation at the University of Ghent and lectures nationally and internationally.

Karol Mathews

Tasha has worked at Rau Animal Hospital in Glenside, PA for 15 years as an O.R. / Anesthesia technician.

Her areas of interest include sighthound and brachycephalic anesthesia as well as pain management.

Tasha has been a featured speaker on various anesthesia and pain management topics at conferences such as NAVC, WVC, Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference, AVMA conference and the Wild West Veterinary Conference.

In July of 2012 Tasha authored an article for the NAVTA journal entitled “Anesthesia in the Sighthound Patient”, and several articles for “Fetch”, a blog dedicated to pet parents. Tasha is also the author of the Surgical Pain Management chapter for the textbook “Pain Management for Veterinary Technicians” (Shaffran and Goldberg, eds.).

In 2013 Tasha created the Facebook group Veterinary Anesthesia Nerds, which has over 28,000 members participating in education and exchange of ideas in all aspects of veterinary anesthesia and pain management.

Natasha Olby completed her veterinary degree at Cambridge University in the UK in 1991.
After a brief period spent in mixed general practice, she returned to Cambridge to complete a PhD in spinal cord injury and a surgical training. Following completion of her PhD and post-doctoral research, she moved to North Carolina State University to do a neurology/neurosurgery residency and she has stayed at NCSU as a faculty member since then. She is currently a professor of neurology/neurosurgery and holds the Dr. Kady M. Gjessing and Rhanna M. Davidson Distinguished Chair in Gerontology.
She is a past president of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Neurology specialty and has published over 100 scientific papers, as well as more than 35 book chapters serving as the co-editor of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Neurology. 
Her research interests are spinal cord injury, Chiari like Malformations and neurodegenerative diseases with a focus on aging of the nervous system. In all fields, her research uses clinical cases to generate translational data.

Francesco Porciello works as a Full Professor of Veterinary Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Perugia University where he is the Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. 

He spends the daily clinical activity in the Cardiology and Ultrasound service of the Hospital were he is mainly involved in Cardiology of dogs, cats and horses, abdominal echography in dogs and cats, ultrasound in oncology and in both cardiac and vascular Doppler examination. Moreover, he is particularly interested in research concerning clinical applications of electrocardiography, 24hr Holter electrocardiography, echocardiography, measurement of blood pressure in dogs and horses, also proposing innovative diagnostic techniques.

Francesco Porciello, over the last 10 years, has proposed and consolidated innovative echoguided techniques for interventional cardiology procedures (Pulmonic valvuloplasty, cor triatriatum dilation, PDA occlusion with ACDO and pacemaker implantation). 

He participates to a research group called Italian Observatory for Feline HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), which collects clinical and epidemiological data on the disease that are the basis for the genetic improvement of the cat’s breeds.

Francesco Porciello participates also in the organization of the Veterinary Italian Observatory for Hereditary Heart Disease that is made with the aim of bringing together in a large database clinical information derived from the observation of dogs with congenital and / or hereditary heart disease. Recently he has got a research found from ENCI (National Kennel Club) for the study of the etiopathogenesis and epidemiology of dilated cardiomyopathy in the Dobermann. 

He has served as a Referee for national journals (Ippologia; Veterinaria) as well as internationals (Journal of Veterinary Cardiology; Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine; Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials) and he published 150 works in Papers, book’s chapters and Conferences Communications Proceedings; 1 handbook of Electrocardiography, 1 of Echocardiography and 1 of Cardiology.

Dr. Radosta is a board certified veterinary behaviorist and owner of Florida Veterinary Behavior Service since 2006.  

She lectures nationally and internationally for veterinarians, their staff and lay people. She has written book chapters for textbooks including Handbook of Behavior Problems of the Dog and Cat; Blackwell’s Five Minute Veterinary Consult and Canine and Feline and Small Animal Pediatrics. She is the coauthor of From Fearful to Fear Free, out April 2018.

Dr. Marsha Reich is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB).

She is the owner of a house call behavior practice which gives her the opportunity to evaluate and treat the behavior problems of pets in their own homes.

After graduating from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, she worked in two small animal veterinary practices for eight years.

In 2000, she completed a three year behavioral medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania, and became board-certified in 2001 by the ACVB.

She worked in a group practice of veterinary specialists for two years before starting her own practice in 2003.

Dr. Reich has lectured both nationally and internationally and has contributed to several textbooks on pet behavior and is co-author of a chapter in the book for pet owners, "Decoding Your Dog" by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.

Stefano Romagnoli graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pisa in 1982.

After completing his (mandatory) military service as a veterinary lieutenant (May 1983-Aug 1984) he was a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Minnesota, where he completed a Master of Science Degree in Theriogenology in 1986.

He then returned to Italy, as an Assistant Professor (1987) and Associate Professor (1991) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Pisa, and then as a Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Padova in January 2001. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Reproduction, has co/authored 51 papers in refereed journals and more than 230 papers in total including non-refereed journals, book chapters and scientific abstracts. His research interests originally focused on ruminant reproduction, but he subsequently switched to small animal reproduction which has been the object of his clinical and research activity for the last 30 years.

His scientific activity has a special focus on reproduction in cats, as he has served as President of the Italian Feline Practitioners Association (1993-1999) and President of the European Society of Feline Medicine (2000-2006).

He is keen in developing international relationships fostering collaborative research projects across countries and continents and advising foreign graduates. He has also been Secretary and then President of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS, 2004-2008 and 2008-2010, respectively), President of the European College of Animal Reproduction (2011-2014) and has served as Secretary of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE, 2004-2008).

Margie Scherk, DVM DipABVP (feline practice)

Margie graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1982.

In 1986 she opened Cats Only Veterinary Clinic in Vancouver, practicing there until 2008 when she retired from regular practice. 

While in practice, she published several clinical trials, including the first paper on transdermal fentanyl patch in veterinary medicine. 

She has written many book chapters, co-edits the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, has served extensively on committees with the AAFP, North American Vet Licensing Exam Board, Winn Feline Foundation, WSAVA and ABVP. 

She is a Paw Project advocate, attempting to end declawing in Canada. She continues to assist colleagues with case management and enjoys teaching about all things feline, including improving interacting with cats, analgesia, nutrition, gastroenterology and kidney disease.

Tobias Schwarz grew up in East Germany and studied veterinary medicine and Scandinavian literature and linguistics at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He did a diagnostic imaging residency at Glasgow University Veterinary School in Scotland and became a Diplomate in Diagnostic Imaging with the British Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (DVR), the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (DipECVDI) and the American College of Veterinary Surgery (DACVR).He has worked as an academic radiologist at the Universities of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin-Madison in the United States for 10 years.

Since 2009 Dr. Schwarz is the head of the Diagnostic Imaging Service at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In 2017, he was elected as a Fellow of the British Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (FRCVS).

Tobias Schwarz has published over 80 peer-reviewed scientific articles and his particular interests are thoracic imaging and computed tomography. On both topics he has published a comprehensive textbook.

Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution (2008-2010) she moved to Israel and joined the Department of Behavioral Science at Ariel University (2014-2015). Having interest to genomic mutations affecting behavior she worked at Bioinformatics Research Centre of Evolutionary Department at Haifa University (2015-2017). Throughout all of her career in science she practiced as an animal behavior consultant (since 2004).

The PhD thesis theme: Surgical correction of unstable thoracolumbar injury in dogs.

Dr. Alshinetsky was born in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, in 1971. When he was a student of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, he got interested in morphology and dedicated a lot of time to its study at the Department of Animal Anatomy and Histology. After graduation in 1994, he began to work in the Moscow Zoo as a veterinary doctor. In 2004, he was appointed to the position of the Chief veterinary doctor of the Moscow Zoo.For many years, he combined work in famous veterinary clinics, specializing in treatment of small and exotic animals.

It just so happened Dr. Alshinetsky began to specialize in exotic animals as most owners with sick pets came for help to the zoo. There was no professional literature on exotic animal diseases and treatment, and he had to contact colleagues in other countries, order scientific literature and study continuously. In due course, he started to treat small animals and birds in addition to the zoo animals.

As the chairman of the veterinary taskforce of the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos & Aquariums, Dr. Alshinetsky dedicated a lot of time to methodological work with zoo veterinary doctors of the CIS and East Europe, regularly participates in veterinary symposiums of the Berlin Wild Nature Institute. As a veterinary advisor, Dr. Alshinetsky participates in activities of the ongoing expedition to research the Amur tiger of the Russian Academy of Sciences and GPS-assisted studies of habitat preferences of the European bison and the European wolf populations. In the Persian leopard reintroduction project in Caucasus, Dr. Alshinetsky is responsible for disease treatment and prevention in the leopards of the Sochi National Park and transportation of these animals from their natural habitat in Turkmenistan and Iran and acts as an advisor to the Iranian party on veterinary and zootechnical matters within the scope of the Caspian tiger reintroduction project.

For 8 years, Dr. Alshinetsky has been helping and providing advice to the IFAW for the orphaned bear cubs rehabilitation project implemented at the Clear Forest Biological Station.

In 1999–2000, thanks to coordinated and professional performance of the team, it became possible to put in practice X-ray contrast methods for diagnosis of spinal cord disorders and spine disorders, allowing to diagnose patients with spinal cord injury symptoms and to treat them successfully, using surgical and conservative methods.

In 2002–2003, he put in practice endoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy and otoscopy, in 2007 – diagnostic laparascopy.

Dr. Chernetsova was born in Elektrostal, a town in the Moscow Region, in 1982, and still lives there. Since childhood, her dream was to treat animals, and she did not think of any other professions.

Before entering the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin, she had worked in the Microbiology Department for two years. When she was a second year student of the academy, she felt that she needed practical training and started to work in small animal clinics in her spare time in order to gain practical experience.

She joined the team of the Belyi Klyk veterinary clinic when she was a fifth year student as a veterinary assistant and stayed there. She took a training course in radiography in the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin and mastered diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of her senior colleagues. At present, Dr. Chernetsova is a diagnostic imaging specialist in the Belyi Klyk clinic in Krasnaya Presnya street. She loves her job and misses it even when she is on vacation.

In her leisure time, she leads an active lifestyle – she enjoys downhill skiing and snowboarding, goes to the gym, meets colleagues and friends.

Fromp 2006 to 2011, Dr. Chernyavskaya studied in the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin to become a veterinary doctor. While she still was a student, she got interested in veterinary surgery, specifcally, orthopedics and neurosurgery. When she was a second-year student, she started to work as a veterinary assistant in veterinary clinics in Moscow and in the vicinity of Moscow (including the Veterinary Center of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin).
She took an active part in scientifc activities of the academy, made speeches at student conferences.

After the fourth year at the academy, she attended the WSAVA congress in Geneva, Switzerland. After that, she radically changed her view on the situation in veterinary medicine in Russia and the paths of its further development.

From 2010 to 2012, she worked as a veterinary surgical technician and then as a surgeon’s assistant in the Surgery Department and ICU of the Biocontrol veterinary clinic. During this period, she was working actively on development of the operative technique for stabilization of the knee joint in canine patients with anterior cruciate ligament tear. Several articles on this subject were published (inter alia, in the journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission) and several speeches were made at Russian veterinary conferences.

In 2012, she worked as an intensivist in the ICU of the Medvet veterinary center in Dompodedovo, the Moscow region.

Thanks to the opportunity to work in various departments and to try herself in various felds of veterinary medicine, she could trace down the patient history from the first consultation to the discharge from hospital. As a result, she got a from opinion that, at present, physical therapy modalities for orthopedic and neurological patients are not sufciently represented in our country.

In 2013, she took practical training in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Zurich, Switzerland (UZH, Vetsuisse Fakultät).

From 2013 to 2015, she was the head of the Physical Therapy Department of the Medvet veterinary center in Prospekt Vernadskogo. Working there, she managed to put together a team of single-minded professionals with whom she was actively promoting use of physical rehabilitation modalities in veterinary medicine - several articles were published (both in professional journals and in editions for the general public), speeches at Russian veterinary conferences were made, and several videos for Russian state TV channels were recorded.

In 2017, she completed training under the international Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist Certifcation program at the University of Colorado, USA (CRI, the Canine Rehabilitation Institute). She is a full member of AARV (the Amperican Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians), a frequent participant of veterinary conferences included into the CE program, both in Russia and abroad.

The doctor has a pet, her former patient, a little dog Nyusha, rescued by volunteers and put back on her feet by rehabilitation therapists after a severe pelvis and spine injury.
