Using metro in Moscow is easy. It is well organized and has a wide network.
You can buy a Troika card and deposit some cash on it. In this case 36 rubles (about EUR 0.50 or USD 0.55) will be debited for each ride. The stations are announced in English and Russian.
If you need to travel by taxi, we recommend you to install a mobile application on your phone in advance and to use services offered by the reliable companies Uber, Gett, Yandex, to get reasonable prices. A trip across the city with such a taxi service will cost about 1,000 – 1,500 rubles maximum (about USD 15 or EUR 20), 500 rubles on average for shorter distances. Taxis offered by drivers in the streets may be several times higher.
