It was organized by the College of Veterinary Specialists and the National Veterinary Chamber. Traditionally, the conference was held in the International Exhibition Center Crocus Expo.

NVC 2018 was attended by 5,887 people from 26 countries, including Russia, and 314 cities. Rapid development of the small animal veterinary medicine requires veterinary doctors to continuously improve their knowledge and skills, and NVC 2018 provided a unique opportunity for 3,927 specialists to familiarize themselves with the latest achievements in this sphere. 220 best speakers (including 31 doctors from the USA, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Israel, Germany, Ukraine, Estonia, Bulgaria, Austria) spoke about new trends in the treatment of animals, presented current scientific research data, shared their expertise and knowledge. 

384 speeches were made in 23 streams, and simultaneous interpretation was provided for 50% of them, which is a serious step to making the conference bilingual. Special streams were dedicated to Veterinary Practice Management, Customer Service, Nurses and Technicians. Customer Service and Nurses and Technicians were presented for the first time and acquired their audience immediately. The information on management and customer service was fully adapted to the veterinary practice environment. Important issues of laboratory diagnostics and interpretation of test results were actively discussed in the session Laboratory vs Doctors, which was conducted in the format of a panel discussion. NVC 2018 covered everyone who, one way or the other, takes part in rendering veterinary assistance to small animals.

More than 100 participants attended the master classes prepared by leading Russian and global specialists. The master classes covered the following areas: diagnostic imaging, surgery, cardiology, neurology, intensive care, management, physical rehabilitation and reproduction. 
During the conference, the guests also attended the exhibition dedicated to veterinary business. This year, the area of 3,100 m2 was allocated for the exhibition to enable all participants to present the full range of their products and services to the visitors with maximum comfort. 113 companies participated in NVC 2018 as exhibitors, including medical companies selling diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and media representatives.

The National Veterinary Conference is a large-scale project uniting the most dedicated professionals who sincerely love their work. The mission of NVC is to develop veterinary medicine in Russia. We open access for veterinary doctors to state-of-the-art knowledge and advanced developments.
